Today we are busy. We are watching Lianka and Ondrej. It
is so good to see them. We haven't seen them since May 22.
We are having alot of fun playing.

Tonight we are having a mega birthday party here at our
house celebrating Sharon and Danielle Spears birthday's,
my nieces, and David and Deborah's birthday.

Had a great day today with Bennett out in Clarkston.
I got to visit with several of the ladies and saw lots
of the children. The children are so sweet and many of
them run to me each time I am there and give me big hugs.
We did some planning for the start of the school year. The
afterschool program starts back with school but we are
actually starting children's choir back next week and are
planning on meeting twice a week. We have been ask to
bring the children to sing at some churches and programs
so we need to prepare.

Tonight we enjoyed a great program of worship from the
Student Choir at First Baptist Atlanta. The choir got
home yesterday from a choir tour in Chicago where they
sang at the Salvation Army, a girl's and boy's juvenile
detention center and a children home. Over 90 people made
decisions for Christ as a result of their trip. WOW!!!!
The music was awesome tonight. I was so proud of the choir!
I am really glad that Sarah was able to be a part of this
event.

I have had the great honor of being under many great
men and women of God. Louie Giglio is one of those men.
Louie is about my age and grew up at First Baptist
Atlanta. In fact his Mom, Martha Jean, use to be one of
my son's David's Sunday School teachers. This is an
excert of a message Louie did which will just blow you
away!

Just got back from Chamblee. I visited with a Bengali
family. The Mom has been in the hospital the past few
days with a stomach ulcer. They told her no more spicy
Indian style food - which is really all they eat. I took
them a loaf of my homemade bread. Hopefully she can eat
some of it. It is really pretty mild. We went over to
First Baptist Doraville and sat in with a team from
North Carolina while Tim Cummins was doing
some "training" with them. They will be working here for
a few days doing apartment ministry with the children. We
went back over to the apartment so I could check on another
sweet lady who is having some difficulty getting her wheel-
chair fixed. Came home at 8:50 to eat a late dinner!

Please pray for the situation in Honduras. The state department
has issued a travel advisory "That all American citizen's
defer all non-essential travel to Honduras until further notice."
This is following the military coup that ousted the Honduran
President yesterday. It is the 1st coup in Latin America in 16
years. Out team is still making plans to go in September pending
the situation there.

Today after church we had our 1st official Honduras
team meeting. Yes, The lord willing, I am going to
Honduras. The dates are September 5 - 12, 2009. This
will be my 1st trip to Central America. I am really
excited because it will give me the opportunity to
experience a different culture and language first hand.
I work with people from many different countries, but a
large group of people that I see every week are people
from Mexico and Central America. We found out that we will
be flying into San Pedro Sula and then travelling into the
Lempiro mountain region which is a very remote and rural
region. The church we will be working out has no
electricity. The men on our team will be putting a roof
on a building and the women will be conducting a VBS for
about 360 children. Please pray for us as we prepare!

I usually don't share very deep things on this blog but
tend to use it more as a diary of facts. Today, I feel
that I need to share my heart for my readers so you
can pray, but also for myself. I know beyond any doubt
that God has called me into full time ministry in missions.
God called me years ago before I met Mark. I feel that one
reason I became a nurse was to use that training and
experience in Missions. Over the years the time has never
been right for our family to serve overseas in missions.
I have had the wonderful opportunity to travel to Spain,
Morocco, Ukraine, and now Honduras. God has been preparing
me to work in missions. June 1st I gave up my other job to
work in missions full time. The need is great. The refugee
and immigrant community here in Atlanta keeps growing. I
love what I do. Unfortunately this is a very difficult
time to be going into full-time ministry. I am at a point
where I have to make some decisions. My support has dropped
dramatically. At this point I can barely pay for the gas and
newsletters that I send out. The economy is having a great
impact on missions and many missionaries are having to come
home. I do not want to have a divided mind, but I may have
to get a Nursing job. The last few weeks has been the 1st
time that I could relax a little and focus on only
one job for quite awhile. I am willing to work more
than one job again but my focus will be divided
and I will not be able to do all that is needed in my
ministry. So I guess you could say I am at a crossroads.

Please pray for us. Pray that God will provide the support
we need. Pray that we can continue and move ahead in ministry
and not backwards.
