Today we had a good day watching Spencer. He
is really talking alot now. He kept saying,
"What cha doing, Cathy." Then I would say,
"What cha doing Spencer."

This afternoon we went to church for dinner.
I talked with my team leader for Honduras about
some things to do with the upcoming trip.

Tonight when I got home I met a sweet lady who
adopted 2 children from Ethiopia. I told her about
out mission team that was in Dukem. I enjoyed
sharing with her about my work with North American
Mission Board in the Refugee and Immigrant community.

Yesterday we kept Benjamin and had a great time. He
is such a grown up little boy now!

Leah, Deborah, Ruth Fowler and I went to Clarkston
today. It was good to see the children and to talk with
Bennett and Lisa North about ministry there.

After I got home I had an email from Gail Roderick who has
just returned from Ukraine. My dear Ukrainian friend Nina
went home to be with the Lord. Nina was not that old by US
standards in fact her Mother is still alive and attends the
Voronkiv Baptist Church. Nina had heath problems and had to use
crutches to get around. But Nina was very involved in the
church. She always participated in praying out loud and reading
poems in church. She also counted the collection money after
every service. To Nina that wasn't enough. She desired to have
a ministry of her own. That is when she started a sock ministry.
You see Nina hand knitted wool socks for everyone in her church
every year. That was no small task. A few years ago I ask
Pastor Sasha if we could bring her some yarn. He just laughed
and said we don't buy yarn. People give her old sweaters and
she unravels them and uses that yarn to make the socks. I have
a pair of Nina's sock's. They are beautiful and I will always
treasure them. I don't wear them- they are too special!
I am so thankful that God allowed me to know Nina! I know she
is well now and singing praises to the King. She will be greatly
missed. Ya Tebe Lyu Blyu Nina!

This has been a crazy week!! We have been getting
ready to have a garage sale this weekend. What a
job hauling stuff. Leah and Deborah decided to give
up the bunk bed and use 2 twin beds instead. We got
the bunk bed taken down and out into the garage. We
have alot of baby items we are trying to sell. I just
need to clean out and get organized. I had hoped to
do a sale at the beginning of summer but life just
have not had time.

I also found out today that some of my blood work
is messed up again. I'll be back on medicine including
injections that I have to give myself! It saves
going to the Doctor every week though.

Mark will be in charge of the garage sale tomorrow
since I have mission training all day tomorrow.

We kept Benjamin today and had a great time. He walked
right in as if he had never been gone and said Cathy.
We did play dough and read books and watched the Mickey
Mouse club.

This evening we went to Chamblee to see our friends
from Bangladesh for the last time before they move. As
always they were very hospitable and served us some great
Bengali food. We stayed and visited for a long time. We
took pictures and then said a tearful goodbye. I will miss
them. Their family has been a blessing to us!
