My Life Verse

Matthew 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."

The Great Commission

Matthew 28:19-20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

This afternoon Leah, Deborah, and I went to Chamblee to Azalea Place. I saw the new Mom and checked on the baby. I went by to see another youn man. He wasn't home so I gave the info that I got for him to his Mom. I have suggested to him to try and pursue some medical training of some sort like a Nursing Assistant course. In today's economy a medical job is fairly recession proof. Casey said they had already planned to go to Dekalb Tech this week. I hope it works out for him. Leah and Deborah played with 2 of the girls while I taught a Bengali Mom how to bake a cake. It was a hands on English lesson.

Yesterday we had an awesome day. It started with us taking a sweet family to church with us at First Baptist Atlanta. I think they enjoyed it. They ask if we would bring her next Sunday too! We flew home and ate a quick lunch. Then we headed for Clarkston, GA to Clarkson International Bible Church where we had been invited to attend church at the Atlanta Nepali/Bhutanese Church. We enjoyed worshiping with our refugee friends. Our friend Santi preached a message on respecting God.It is amazing to see the different refugee groups and international here in Atlanta worshipping God. We met a Pastor from Ethiopia on our way into the worship service. The Ethiopian congregation meets right before the Nepali/Bhutanese group. We also saw the Sudanese congregation meeting. I am so grateful that God is allowing us to be a part of ministry here in this changing and exciting time in Atlanta.

Today we went to Impact Atlanta. First we met at First Baptist Atlanta to meet with our teams and for training. I taught how to make animal balloons. We left the church at 10:00am and went to our apartment complexes. My team went to Oak Forest in Scottdale. We had a team of 12 go to work with the kids. It was a great day with a cookout, face painting, animal balloons, some football, and frisbee. We had an Easter egg hunt, candy throw, and then we told the Easter story. We had an invitation inviting the kids and adults to pray to receive Christ as their savior. We had 32 people that prayed to receive Christ children and adults. Praise the Lord for what He has done!

We had a great afternoon at choir in Clarkston. I got home, had a quick bite to eat, then went off to the grocery store tonight. Trying to catch up so I can get to bed and rest for a full day with 4 children ages 3 and under tomorrow. We have Impact Atlanta all day this Saturday too!
