My Life Verse

Matthew 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."

The Great Commission

Matthew 28:19-20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Thanksgiving Celebration

Tonight we had a Thanksgiving celebration at The
Falls apartments for the families who participate
in the afterschool program. We shared with them
how Thanksgiving started in this country. We shared
a section of scripture. We sang a few songs and
then we all shared a meal together. At the end I
gave each family one of Dr Stanley's "Messengers" in
Spanish. Thanks to FBA for getting these for me to
give our families!

Beautiful Time of Year

I love Fall! To me it is the most beautiful time
of year. The colorful leaves and crisp air kind
of rejuvenate my spirit. Yesterday it was raining
so the attendance at afterschool was down. It was
still good to see the children and to help them
with their work. Today we had a meeting at The Falls.
This afternoon I went to one of the apartments in
Clarkston. Leah and Deborah enjoyed working with the
kids there. Many of the children we know but some are
new to the program there. I am grateful for my time
to share with the director there. Thank you, my friend!

The Falls

So far this week has been a good one. Working with
the children can sometimes be a challenge especially
when there isn't enough help. It seems like someone
is always saying "Miss Cathy, I need help." Today I
encouraged some of the older kids who had no homework
to help the younger kids. Then God blessed us by
sending a high school student who could help one of
our middle school girls who doesn't know English.
