My Life Verse

Matthew 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."

The Great Commission

Matthew 28:19-20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Wednesday evening we had Ian North and his wife Ruthie and Eric North come to First Baptist Atlanta. First we all had dinner in Faith Hall. Bennett Ekandem and one of his students were able to join us for dinner. It was a good time of fellowship sharing about ministry. We all work together so it is good to know what everyone is doing and talk about what is going on and how we can help each other. The North's came to talk to our children's choir about growing up as missionary kids. Ian and Eric are the sons of David and Kathy North, missionaries with Team to the Philippines, and the grandsons of Ian and Dorothy North, founder of Ambassadors of Christ International(www.afci-usa.com). Ian told a story about almost being bitten by a cobra which the kids loved. Eric and Ian taught the kids a song in Tagalog. They also shared about their work here with refugees. Ruthie has stated a refugee beading program - teaching women how to make jewelry so they can generate some income. It was a great opportunity talking with the kids about being missionaries right here where they are.
