My Life Verse

Matthew 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."

The Great Commission

Matthew 28:19-20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Homeschooling in Siberia

Today I met with a sweet Mom and her son.
She was born in Moldova and raised in Russia.
At the age of 17 she accepted Christ as her
Savior. Her family is moving this summer to
Siberia to be missionaries. They are not going
with an agency but stepping out on faith and
going to serve the Lord in Yekaterinburg in
Siberia. This is the town that was made famous
as the last place where Czar Nicholas II and his
family lived and were murdered. She is planning
on homeschooling when they move. I was able to
have a meeting with her to introduce
homeschooling and how we do it to her.

FBC Norcross

Harmony, the trio that Deborah is in, sang
a mini concert at First Baptist Norcross this
past Sunday evening. They did a great job!
They had quite a turn out of fans to hear them
sing including Matthew, the FBA youth director and
associate choir director. We all ate at Jasons Deli
after the concert. The Acnhormen, a southern gospel
quartet, also performed. They are so good! They
were very encouraging to the trio! I videotaped 3
of the songs but Deborah doesn't want me to include
them so I am posting only pictures.

ESL In Evening

On Tuesday evenings I have been teaching ESL
at Azalea Place in Chamblee. All of our students
have been from Guatemala. The last 2 week however
we have not had any students come to class because
now with the time change the men especially are
out working later. It is great that they have work but
disappointing to Penny the other teacher and myself.
Last night Penny had brought curtains that she made
for the front window of the mission. She had bought
a tension rod at Walmart. Well the 2 of us could not
get the rod to work. Finally we ask one of the boys
if his Dad might have a screwdriver we could us. A
few minutes later the Dad came down to the mission
to help us. Success! I guess it takes a man!
Leah and I had fun reading with some of the little
girls!

Visiting in Homes

One of the things that I do in missions is visit
in homes each week. Usually I go to teach English.
One of my sweet Mom's had surgery recently and is
still recovering so we aren't doing "classes" right
now. We have been visitng to cheer her up!
